hi i have to go to see heart specialist because of very high blood pressure combined with fast heart rate and i have to go on a treadmill .It is a very long time since i have done exercise mainly due to the fact have been in pain for a couple of years with joints .Has anyone or does anyone use a treadmill and how do they cope?
Thanks
update to the above
I went to see heart specialist and they they are sending me for a heart scan .My bp is still high and my heart rate is 120 a min ,im now on 5mg of Ramipril and 40mg of simvastatin and also a small dose of Aspirin every day ....not to mention the Diclofenac ,Amitrypline and co codamol.
Then this morning in the post i recieved letter saying my DLA have received my letter saying i want to appeal (they have looked into everything and decided i dont qualify so now if i want to carry on the appeal i have to go to Stockport (and i live in Oldham)....
Just think three days the heart specialist was telling me not to stress cos its doing me no good !
Thanks

Hi Sheila
I would not have thought that it will be at all daunting for you.
You will start off on the treadmill very slowly and they will take it from there and start to slowly increase the speed. You will be closely monitored so they are hardly likely to make the speed so fast that it is unbearable for you!

Elna is right, they will start you off very slowly and they won't have you do anything you are uncomfortable with. I use the treadmill and reclining bike only now since my diagnosis. I just walk slowly on it and if I'm having a good day, I adjust the pace a little. On bad days, I don't go to the gym at all. Good luck0
