Hi Denise
I've had a few injections into my feet over the years. They worked really well. Hope yours do too

Hi Denise
I hope the injection works for you. I've had several and sometimes they have worked and sometimes not. I had one in my knee last year and it was wonderful for 6weeks. I stopped taking pain-killers and felt great, but then it wore off and you can't have too many in a year, so I was back to square one. Recently, I had one in my hip but it didn't do a thing. I have had them in my hip which have worked though, but only for a while.
Make sure that you rest well afterwards to give it maximum chance of working, and I mean really rest if you can, for 24 hours afterwards. My doc. said that was very important.

Thanks guys
I had one in my back many many years ago but it didnt work at all. Then last year had them in my feet which eased the pain for a few weeks.
So I will have to wait and see.

Hope everything goes OK for Thursday:
I have had a couple of injections in each of my wrists as they were in a really bad way but the steroid injections have made such an improvement so I hope these set help.

Thanks everyone
I have heard that the steroid injections work better for RA than they do for OA, I am not looking forward to it. scary!!! and I have to be on hospital for 7.30am (what sort of time is that) ha ha.

Even the birds are still in bed at 7:30 a.m.

Hi there, I got a steroid injection in my hip last April, and although it only lasted a month it was great. It allowed me to go walking each day for that month. I was told to rest all wkd to ensure that it worked
So hopefully you will get longer benefits than me.0 -
Thanks Guys
Well went in at 7.30am had injection at 9am and home by 10.30 (how good is that). The doc said this shouldnt hurt "ha yeah right" but if it does tell me dont hit me and I will stop for a minute well I told him and true to his word he stopped for a second or two before carrying on. so now its over and done with just waiting to see if it works.

I was fine after my hip injection. I was told to rest until sunday and then get up and walk. I kept waiting for the flare up that they talk about and it never came, so hopefully you will be fine to. good luck0
