Report from rheumy today

I saw the rheumy today good news and bad. As he examined me through my clothing and yes I still had on my overcoat, he proclaimed things where much worse and he could see how much pain I was in. he will not put me back on my drugs until I have seen the chest specialist that’s next Tuesday so not that long to wait although just now it seems forever. If I get the all clear with my chest I can restart the enbrel after reporting to the anti TNF nurse. At the moment I am to increase the prednisolone to 20mg a day to tie me over, well that’s what he said, and no depot injection incace I did have a chest problem.
Now the good news He Has Taken Me Off the METHOTREXAT after 3 years, thank god for that it made me so ill, my other drug for now will be prednisolone along with the enbrel. Take care you all

Hi Colin, sorry things are still not going well for you. I hope you get better news from the chest specialist and the increase in the prednisolone helps tides you over until you get the go ahead to resume the Enbrel.

I think we started Enbrel about the same time, I have been told today that I am not to have any more and a script has gone in for me to switch to Humira, delivery should be next week and I will start it the week after.

Thanks all , i think this is the longest flair i have ever had its in its 8th week now just hope the chest goes ok. its not so much the pain its the feeling ill but you know what i mean. anyway a good nights sleep last night so feeling better this morning.
