Hi,
I got the neck jabs next week, they haven't given me any details and I was wondering if anyone has had them how long before you can drive and how long do you have to take it a bit easier? :?:

Oh and ho much do they hurt? :!: I had some in my lumber years ago and they did hurt but back then they were doing them differently as one did all. They were much the same as they also were nerve blocks. I think I get 4 or 5 separate ones this time but who knows, you'd have though there would have been some details with the appointment eh? Well they are cost cutting and I guess it saves paper! Take care. :)

    Hi Colin,
Yep them sounds horrid but they probably aren't and if they work I may be able to get my nice Consultant to agree to an opp.... I will let you know but I reckon they won't hurt too much. Last time it was the sound that did my head in! :) To get rid of any pain have you noticed we will try anything?! I may have to give up the sheep physio for a couple of days eh? Take care, Cris :)

    Hi skezier

I hope everything goes well for you, and they work. Your employers need you. Though of course they do not say it, in so many words. No doubt they show it in other ways.

    All the best

    Hi,
I have'nt had neck injections, but I have had hip and wrist steriod injections and although not painless, were not as bad as a dental injection :!: The last ones were wrist injecitons and done at the hospital and they sprayed local anasthetic on first, which felt very cold and numb, and then injected. I have to say I was waiting for the pain to begin, but then they took the needle out and it was all over!!! :) Good luck :!: :!: :!: Love Sue xx

    Hi Badger,
Well one is saving me a fortune in hairdressing bills......... I give her a 'strange hair do' and she is returning the favour, does that count? Trouble is we both went to the same style teacher...........

    Sue,
Its the same day as you go to your appointment, I will wish you all the luck then as well. I am a good day dreamer so it may take my mind off what this woman will be doing! I don't know if its the steroid ones, its a temp nerve block done via epidural. I kinda stopped listening to her at the point she was telling me to give up my life and 'put' a cd on. Boy do I wish I hadn't had the volume so loud now! :!: Still it is the fact I don't know how long I will be meant to take it easy or not be able to drive and that I really wish she'd said. I did phone but apparently they'll tell me on the day........ Tack care, Cris :)

hope all goes well Skezier ...... aand that your 'employers' behave themselves for a while whilst you recuperate. I have to say that Littlelegs is very good at picking up when we are not so well, and reduces her demands (in the short term that is!!!) of course as soon as we are anything like ok she wants the world and preferably yesterday!!

will b e thinking of you!

    Hi Cris

I have had injections twice on my neck under xray and was put to sleep so knew nothing about it. No pain afterwards and it took minutes. Very quick recuperation time.

That was how it was for me anyway.

    Hope all goes well,

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi Elna,
Thank you, I should like to wake up and find it done! I was hoping they would do........It's being done in day theater and under x-ray so I feel much more relived now! Take care and many thanks. Cris :)

    Hi Wonkey,
I think your legs is nicer to you than half these are to me....... Some are good when I bit ill and others become so demanding! I have begged for a bit of co-operation for 24 hr, I have even dug out some bribes..... Cadburys buttons all round! Take care, Cris :)

Hope all goes well for you and the injections give you some relief. I like most things, its the thought of having it done which is worse, Its a shame can't do things as soon as they mention them, and you didn't have to wait!!! I know thats not possible though, just wishful thinking. :):):) . Good Luck. Love Sue xxx

    Hi Skezier

Hope all goes well with injections. Don't forget you will have to take it easy for a few days. Hope this is going to be possible I know there are a lot of demanding employers. Try not to panic and take it easy.

    Love
