Hi ,sorry to hear you are in so much pain ,when I get pain in my upper arms for me it means I need my shoulders injected with a steroid as the pain from the shoulder is radiating down the arm and this can be painful enough to keep you awake at night ,hopefully when you see your consultant next week he will help you , you may need an overall kenalog injection to dampen this down ,hope this helps a little ,Anne0

hi Debbierose
Welcome to the site. Your hubby sounds lovely and provided the best medicine. Sorry to hear about your pain. I've been having pain in my shoulder recently, enought to keep me awake, so have taken Diclofenac again, even though I was hoping to stop taking it. I haven't got RA, but the pain is the same, I think.
You will soon find out that you are not alone if you are feeling down. You only have to post a message, and lots of people will be there for you,

Hi, welcome to the site, glad you've found us!
Pain takes you over, doesn't it. I have OA, so others can give more practical advice. When you're on your own, things build up, this site can help, as someone is always around, don't be frightened to just moan or rant!!! I DO  Just saying hello Love Sue0 -

hi debbierose sorry to hear you are in pain, I think the stress of Christmas and cold ,damp weather don't help matters.
I have had RA for a while now and wonder if your pain could be tendonitis I get this in my arms and in shoulder areas. I have had tendonitis several times in my feet and lower legs before but not in my upper legs.
Storng painkillers and steroid injections help.
Maybe it is worth discussing your pains with your rheumy nurse for a proper diagnosis but some of your pains sound similar, though I could be completly wrong.
hope you are feeling better soon0 -
Hi Debbie
Glad you are feeling better. Cuddles work a treat, nice bath with bubbles too, how about a pot of tea to go with that too.
Call in for a chat, moan or rant anytime
Love
