    Hi

I think most people do feel more tired than normal. Are you having a lot of pain right now? this could disturb your sleep pattern and make you more tired. Some meds make you feel tired too. Affraid it's a vicious circle :(

I used to be able to clean the house from top to bottom before lunch including changing three beds......now it takes all week. I used to clean the bathroom every other day now its once a week-ish. By lunch time I need to sit down and rest and feel as if I could go to bed. Thats on a good day. On a bad one I get up and get dressed and then cook dinner usually with help.

I now feel better knowing that I'm not the only one thank you for posting this

    Hi

Just a note that might cheer you all up a bit :) When things started getting worse and I couldn't get everything done like I used to I was worried. Then my neice told me not to worry as people don't come to inspect my home and anyway dust can only get so thick before it gets fed up :) Just do what you can and try not to worry.

    Love

I feel tired all the time, sometimes I don't know if it's the arthur or the drugs. I just feel so lethargic, I get a good night's sleep once in a while but have to drag myself out of bed for work. I feel like my joints are so heavy and the pain feels like back labour urrrghhhh! Then suddenly one day I feel good and have some energy then spend the day trying to manage things I couldn't do on bad days, then suddenly I know I've overdone it and am back to square one. People are forever telling me to slow down, I feel if i go any slower I'll have to change my name to Snail Girl.

I do agree with the above, i do get a lot of you can't be tired all the time. There are some at work who do understand, family member, a friend. These people do help and can make you feel a little better though.

Just before a bad flare I usually get an overwhelming feeling of exhaustion, where you physically cannot even get up out of a chair. These days I usually go to bed before 9 and watch the telly in bed because this is the only time I can truly rest but of course then I am usually up at night with pain.
I think tiredness is part and parcel of having RA. My sister even said I was lazy, she said all I done was lie on the settee all day. I wish she could have RA for a day!!!

    Hey Nellie
Yes, I'm afraid having this condition together with the meds makes you very tired. I find a little nap in the afternoon revives me. It takes me about 2 hours to get going in the morning. I make a list of the things I need to do and if I complete that list fine if I don't then I carry it over to the next day. I've carried over having my photos developed since 15 February! I just can't face being in a queue as standing in a queue kills me.

Wouldn't it be nice if shops had chairs for people with arthritis? We went on holiday in January and the queues at the airport nearly finished me off never mind the endless trips up and down endless corridors. I suppose I could have asked for a wheelchair, but at the time I never thought about it. I keep putting off the wheelchair thing but realise I'm being foolish. My worries are: will it steer ok? Will I get in people's way? Do I have to ask permission first or can I just use one? The next time I go to B & Q with my husband I'm going to ask for a wheelchair! It took me 3 days to recover from our 9 hour flight plus the previous days travelling. To make matters worse after a lovely holiday I caught a sickness/diarrhoea bug on the plane - it took all week to recover and I couldn't take my meds.
