Hi
I am finding that since my THR and now that I am using elbow crutches, I am so much more clumsy. I am always dropping things, knocking things over and the frustrating thing is it is so much harder to pick things back up again! I am using my helping hand but seem to drop things more when I haven`t got it with me! I have even resorted to trying to pick things up with the crutches like chopsticks!! Not very successfully either!
I used to moan about things being difficult to manage with my stick ,but I won`t moan about that again. Come back stick, all is forgiven!!!

    Hi NB
I have a very funny mental picture of you using your extra large chopsticks :!: :)
    Sorry!
Seriously though I hope your recovery is swift and you get back to normal very soon
Be careful and don't take any risks

    Hi
Sounds frustrating, but it'll be worth it in the long run. :) Love Sue

    Hi Nicola,
You'll get there and be racing around again. How long before you ill be on a stick or 'normal' crutches? Take care, Cris

Hi Nicola, I'm sorry but your description did make me giggle. I'm glad you were able to come on and give us an update on how your doing. I'm sure the other facing the same situation will be glad to hear someone's experience. Take care, Alex
