Have had a couple of down days. havent been ale to straighten my knee fully for a couple of days. My middle toe on the same side has swollen and have no feeling whatsoever in it. Cant even feel anything when I pinch it.
Went to GP this morning and she gave me tramadol tablets and sadi it was because of the inflammation in my back it was aggravating nerve and sending funny signals to left side of my body from hip down.

The tramadol have helped a treat with the pain but still no feeling on end of middle toe.
Has anyone had similar problem?
Also, is it safe to be taking these drugs together? The side effects dont sound too good on either and am a bit concerned what it is dong to me taking them both.

Hi, yes I take both Tramadol and diclofenac and it is safe and they work very well together. If you are taking diclofenac long term though you need a med such as Omeprazole to protect your stomach, the diclofenac builds in your system, the more you take it.

    Hi Bailey
I had back surgery 5 years ago and I cannot feel two toes and my heel and back of knee and a bit of my bum!!! Nerve damage I am told. Initially it was much more - the whole right leg, but over time it has got better. So there really is hope!
Yes I took those painkillers too and diazepam and something else all at the same time. All being well you won't have to do it forever.
I do hope things pick up soon
    Take care

I'm taking this drug alongside all the other meds. Just after Christmas I found that I had a very bad burning sensation. I do have a hiatus hernia but I'm now on Omprezol (sorry this spelling is incorrect!) which has helped tremendously - I was taking something else prior to this change. I also take co-dydramol, amytreptyline (which helps me sleep at night) as well as other meds. I seem to be getting worse not better. What do I have to do to see a specialist? My mother-in-law keeps saying to me you've got to tell them you need an operation. She is rather pushy .. and I keep telling her that my GP is the expert and she keeps telling me I'm too young! I seem to spend most of my days crying lately. It's just so frustrating being stuck in the house. I tried to walk in B & Q with my husband the other day and had to leave. I think I'll end up in a wheelchair before they do anything. I'm losing faith in my doctor and I don't want to.
