Hi everyone,
I wonder, could anyone help with this-I don't know what is going on! I have started today with the most awful pain in my wrist - every few minutes I get this terrible stabbing pain in the wrist joint, on the pinky finger side and I have no idea where it's come from. I've had probs with my left wrist for a couple of years, but different pain to this, but have never had anything with my right. I'm sure I haven't injured it, but the pain when it comes is so bad-my face must be a picture!! Help-what is this???
Thanks,
Josie

Hello Josie
I have carpel tunnel, and that gives me quite severe pain the wrists at times, especially if I've been using my hands a bit. Do you get pins and needles at night? Thats a sign.
Or maybe you've injured it by a fall or something. Sorry apart from that I don't know what to say, execept the old stand by, an ice pack. If you think it could be a strain or injury I'd use ice, as in the frist aid guide Rest Ice Compression (bandage) Elevation! Hope it soon settles down. Love Sue0 -
Hi Sue,
Haven't injured it that i know of, but must have done something as the pain is excrutiating when it comes. Does look slightly out of shape on that side actually-hmm! Will have to see someone with it if it continues. Hope all okay with you,
Josie :shock:0 -
Hi,
Sounds as if you should see someone asap. Thanks for asking, I'm fine at the moment, fingers crossed. Love Sue0 -
Hi Josie, can't help with why you are getting the pain, I would strongly suggest that you seek some medical advice asap, you could get some strong painkillers, try wearing your splints if you are not already, hope that you soon feel better love Jaspercatxx0

I think I may have to see if I can see someone tomorrow-know the doctor will just send me to A&E for x-ray and feel fraud doing that when thre's no obvious injury-does look ever so slightly bent if you study it mind you! Thanks for asking!0

I get spasm pains but I also get sudden pains that I can only describe like a sharp electric shock. Never had electric shock but its a sharp sudden sort of pain and it passes quickly unlike the spasm pains which can last a few hours, few days or few weeks. I got the spasm pains after moving house and had for quite a few weeks0
