Hi everyone,
Am having steroid injections into foot tomorrow and am so nervous-every time I have it done I seem to feel more apprehensive; ignorance is bliss maybe! Know it's nothing compared with what some of you have had, but boy do I hate it!
Sorry, just grumbling aloud!!
Josie

Hi
I hope it all goes well. They say ignorance is bliss, so because you know what is coming you know what you don`t like about it! But you could look at it as I know what it is like so no nasty surprises!
Good luck

Oh I know it's hard but do try not to worry and certainly don't think your being silly. Everyone gets nervous about appointments at times. I'm a 33 year veteran of Hospitals and having had both kidney and spinal diseases thus getting lots of needles etc all my life, I still get nervous before going for them. I'm going to Urology in a couple of weeks, I haven't been for many years and they were butchers in those days. I'm taking my Mum instead of my hubby as being a tough birdy most of the time I don't want him to see me panic when I go there. Good luck, I hope everything goes well. Just think it'll all be over quickly and this time tomorrow you will be feeling much better. xxx0

Hi
Good luck for tomorrow with your injections. xx0 -
Thanks for your support,
Was at hospital for most of day yesterday-they were lovely, but the injection was horrible - so painful, felt like he was ripping my toes off! Don't think could go through it again, has been worse every time. Is still quite painful, hopefully will settle down in the next couple of days.
Hope everyone okay!

Really sorry you had a rotten time having the injection. I must say reading your post injection into feet, made my cringe on your behalf! .
Still, its over now and I hope it helps for a good long while. Love Sue0 -
Think it's getting harder for them to do with more bone spurs around the joint now. The surgeon I saw was a new one to me and he immediately said it needs fusing as steroids only control pain (I know that! ) he was pleasant enough though. The language was definately quite choice-did try to keep it quiet but the anaesthetist said she could lip read and knew what I'd called him! Fingers crossed it lasts a few months like the last one! Follow up in 6 weeks - think it may be time to get name on waiting list for fusion!0
