Hi everyone, what can I say. Got the call this morning whilst out shopping. I'm gutted. I havent been sleeping/eating very well for days and looks like I will have to do it all again. The reason its cancelled was theres been an urgent case and because im not a straight forward THR the main doc has to do the op. I feel a bit better knowing that, I just hope my nerves hold out. Looks like being the end of April, fingers crossed. well at least i'll get my easter dinner

Hi, so sorry to hear you've been cancelled that must be terrible when you have prepared yourself mentally and physically as best you can. I do hope you won't have long to wait for another date and everything will go well. Take care,

    HI,

so sorry to hear that your op has been cancelled.

However, as you say, it is positive that there are clinical reasons rather than just that you were not as important as someone else ..... in fact you are the important one as you need the top man!!

I have found that I worry about stuff so much and the realiety when I get there is never quite as bad. I hope that you sleep better this week, and tha t you get a date that works soon!

    Hi
It must be a real anti climax when you have got yourself all worked up for it, however as the others have said at least you are getting the main man when you do get it done. Comfort yourself with a nice chocolate egg, makes all things better h025.gif

    What a shame.

Roll on the end of April for you - terrible when you've prepared yourself mentally.

Hope you've got lots of choc lined up purely for comfort purposes - best medicine with no side effects - if you don't include putting on weight

    Have a good Easter.

Nightmare! It's awful isn't it? I just got a letter from Urology today saying they've cancelled my appointment and re-scheduled it another 5 weeks later. I am so ticked off as had to have counselling a couple of years ago because of what happened as a kid in Urology and I was trying to keep calm and psyche myself up for it. Now the nerves have returned again and I get myself so worked up at the thought of going back there.

Hopefully you might get a cancellation as someone on here got the other day. Try and keep your chin up, I know it's hard but even coming on here to share helps I think. take care xx

I am so sorry, I understand how you feel as the same thing happened to me. I was devastated and so down about it. Thinking of you and hope all goes well in the near future. Linda

Hi everyone, Thanks for all your support (again!) what would we all do without this forum? my family are great, but no one really understands unless you are going through the same or similar experiences. I am feeling strangely sad at not having the op tomorrow and I was dreading it. Bizarre! Anyway, the sun is shining here, and as I will have some more free time later I will be logging on at 6pm. See you all then jk
