Should I be concerned?

Hi, can anyone advise please?
I had steroid injection in my foot on Friday, it's a bit bruised and still quite sore, but have managed to drive today. Have just felt a tiny bit off colour today, nothing to write home about, but have found my temperature is up a little bit - could this be from the steroids do you think? Shall I just leave it and see if anything else develops? Don't want an infected foot but don't want to fuss unnecessarily either!
Thanks, Josie

    Hi
I suppose its a possibilty, but you could run it by your gp/dr to be sure. As you said you don`t want any infection there, but also why worry unnecessarily when a phone call could put your mind at rest.

    Hi Josie,
I think Nearly has given you the best advice there. I haven't had the pleasure of my feet but my neck was very bruised and swelled up for a few days and it was fine after..... And still is! It don't think it made me feel ill though but hard to tell as other things already were. If your worried I echo Nearly. Take care you both

I'd have a word with your GP if your temperature is still higher than normal, just to be on the safe side. Don't feel silly for asking, if you don't ask you'll never know. Hope you feel better soon x

I have regular steroid injections and my temp does go up slightly and I also get a little bit colour in my face. I feelwarm all over and my face feels slightly sunburnt. However this doesn't last very long, maybe a couple of days then its back to pale face again and wooly jumpers.
    Take care

Thankyou all for your help, I feel better today am still taking some parecetamol for pain, but the foot looks fine, nothing to indicate any problems, so hopefully was just a slight after effect that took a couple of days to appear!
    Regards, Josie

That's great news Josie, I'd be worried too if it was like that but it's nice to see the other experienced posters were able to advise you about it. x

    Hi,]

When I had steriod injections in my wrists they warned me it would get more painful before getting better, apparently a steriod rebound reaction, I think they called it. Hope alls Ok. Sue

Still quite sore, but unfortunately for me that's usual - previous experience tells me I can take more than a week to begin to feel the benefits (must work on a slower time scale than everyone else - explains a few things!! ), so I'm not too worried about that anymore, as long as everything's okay in there!! Fingers crossed for it feeling better soon - one thing's for sure, it was so painful having it done that it absolutely made my mind up that I want it fusing asap - don't think I'd do it again!

    Hi Josie

Like Colin I've had quite a few of these. I've had the odd bruise but nothing else. If you still feel even a bit ill tomorrow call your GP.

    Love

    Hi

After having steroid injections, I have had hot flushes, as in the menopause.(very unpleasant) and have been told that this can be a side-effect. However, I haven't had a raised temperature, so I would get it checked by the doctor.
