I am on the waiting list for physio since January. I phoned and I was told my appointment will not be until the end of May.

I think, my scan was a record, saw the GP on monday afternoon and had the scan done on thursday due to cancellation. Results came on Monday, but they would not tell me what it is. I was told the surgery will contact me with the results and if I need to make an appointment. Have not heard anything, not sure what to do, shall I wait, it might be for ages or ring tomorrow and try to get an appointment but I will have to lie and say it is urgent. I cannot wait any longer. Same day appointment is for so difficult to get and it is not an emergency. What shall I do? Hopefully everything is fine as I have not been contacted but it is early days yet? I would not worry but having constant pins and needles in lt arm cannot be right.

Hi Colin, well hope you did n't have any plans about moving on too quickly then!
It really is such a shame to have to wait so long for everything. Our GP practice is really good though about things like that. You phone a separate extension for test results and if the doctor wants to see you about them they make an appointment as they keep some available for prebookings, but i am beginning to see that they are quite unusual and i am very fortunate.

Marie you can tell a little porky, it is important to you and important, urgent they are very similar words and anything urgent must surely be classed as an emergency :!:  :P
Hope you get your results soon

    Hi Marie
A 5 month wait seems unacceptable to me. I only had to wait two weeks, and then it was all done at the doctor's surgery, which was vrey convenient for me. I also had acupuncture there, both of which have benefited me greatly. Can your doctor do anything to speed things up for you ? Keep pestering them !!
