NHS waste money on empty beds hired from Spire former BUPA hospital and beds not being used they are meant to be for ops like THR knees etc acute orthopaedic rehab beds and they are being hired for more than NHS bed which is a staggering £180-270 a day anyway these 5 beds have so far cost 20k and for some reason they will be hired until May and than the cost will be 50k it seems Spire have strict critereia for which pateints can use these beds 'fit ones and healthy ones it would seem if the NHS have no suitable patients, what a waste of money it would pay for some ops on the NHS

I've heard it all now. They are giving smokers £12.50 a week for quitting here, it's great if it makes them stop but it must be hard for all those reading about that who stopped with old fashioned will power.0
