I think tablets are often responsible for sleep disturbances and am glad you have been able to rest up. I have to........ That shows its not good! The employers are all behaving except for slipper boy who need more exercise! :roll: I hope your a lot better tomorrow and take it easy. x

I am going to get it looked at either today in the small A & E that's staffed by nurses or tomorrow at my useless doctors. We only have the one real A & E in Cornwall and it will be busy I should think and I don't think I could sit in one of their chairs for long. :?

My neck has ceased the opportunity to kick off and so have my collar bones...... I cease up quite quick and I have been really resting! I did morning duties and have someone coming ot do the evening ones though no body want the responsibility of tableting a sheep....... Can't think why?!

It's very localised and if I don't twist, bend, walk or cough its not so bad and I have rested it I promis as I have to work wens........

Hi Debs,

Thanks for your message. I phoned the doctors, couldn't get an appointment and so the duty doctor rang. he has told me not to rest it, to up the tramadol and to make sure I take all my other pain stuff to keep it mot hurting....... Who is he kidding on that at least! He also said if it hurts like this still next monday to make an appointment! Some of that just doesn't sound right....... I have asked the helpline team what they think, though it is putting them on a spot as I don't know what I have done!

Cris, I can't believe the doc's attitude! If it still hurts next week?!!!
:x Don't leave it that long, if it doesn't improve you will have to try A+ E. I wish these docs could be in our shoes for just a day!!! Then maybe they would be a bit more understanding of our pain. Hope things improve for you.

Even I was surprised at that much complacency..... He doesn't know what I have done any more than I do! If I could just change doctors eh? I will be sensible, i hurt too much not to be.

Hi sorry you are not well and not getting much of a result off the docters.I would get a second opinion dont let them fob you off.

I have seen my docter she has signed me off collage im off this week any way due to holiday so ive got an extra week. She has told me to keep moving else i will sease up. and i am over the worsed . I have jarred my body and the bruising is coming out now.i am having a flare up due to the theropy change also so i am numb and in pain. The doctor told me to phone the hopital to arrange a depo if i get too bad but she said i was in no fit state to go to collage and to return to her if things dont improve.
please look after your self and get seen by someone else docters dont know everything take care of your self joanne

This isn't right, either go to A & E or keep pestering the Dr. for an appointment. Do not wait, the Drs. get a very good wage and should be there for you :x

Hi Vonski,
It's a bit easier today, I had to go after a couple of escapies so have had a good walk...... I don't feel too bad, in fact it's all quite numb. It has swelled and it is a bit banging deep inside but still better than yesterday. I will see how it is after 'work' tomorrow and if it's still like this I will take it to A & E. I hate those doctors and wonder how they actually stay open! :x :x :roll:

The doctor who told you not to rest does not know what you do during the day and is worried that you will take to your bed and seize up. Trust me i know what you do!!!! and you do need to do as little of that as you possible while things are healing.!

Sometimes i am surprised by the treatment that is dished out. So many doctors get complacent with their jobs. There are so many good ones though. What a pity you don't have one.

Hope you are doing ok too Joanne. What are you studying at college by the way?

Hi vonsi I am doing IT and word processing and have just got a placement to do voluntry work to help in the collage hostal teaching life skills to The young students with sensory and learning difficulties. I was due to start there next week helping on a saturday. thanks for your well wishes joanne

You mean City, n Truro...... It closed and Treliske up the road was up graded and given a nice new block as well. It used to be good but the trust that runs it is terrible...... City was good, Treliske used to be, the trust in charge is rubbish and I feel for the staff as there have been so many cut backs. I will go though if it's no better in a couple of days.......... x

To these ones I might like to do more than that............. :oops: It is easing up but I tried to do some stuff today and its not as good so I am going to give it till tomorrow, or friday and then go to A & E just to find out what I have done to it.

Hey I know what you mean about shoes..... I love my boots.....That's actually quite sad on reflection...... :oops:

I am pretty sure I just need it to clunk to the right and it will be as good as it was. I do see the Pain clinic next week and maybe it will wait till then? Will have to see. That's the worst part of these doctors they take away all my confidence at asking to be seen. NHS Direct said to be gentle with it so I kinda of am. Take Care, Cris x

DO be persistent with your doctors ..... it seems that persistence is a key characteristic needed by long-term patients these days.

hope A & E can help you out if the GP isn't able to.

Sorry we're not closer to help out with the 'employers' ..... littlelegs did offer to pop down and 'help out', but the thoughts of what slipper boy and she might get up to together made me carefully secure the gate and hide her lead!!!!!

I went into the doctors today and stood there until they made m an appointment for tomorrow...... I was quite surprised I could be that persistent! I am a bit better but it still really hurts and I really do want to know what I have done! Besides it became a principle....... Now that is sad eh?! :oops:

They didn't make it easy but I just decided they had to tel me point blank to go away...... It was when she said is it urgent, I said it was on tuesday but the doctor told me to wait a week and I wasn't prepared to but could always go to A & E if they didn't want to see me........... :roll: I think today I would have done but its a long drive and I am not finding cars too comfy either just now.

The Employers genuinely wouldn't know behaving if it jumped up and bit them....... They are being semi kind to me though...... x

Fight, with these doctors its akin to pushing a tractor uphill with the hand brake on! :x Still I get seen tomorrow........ Lets hope they bother to examine me eh?!

There are roughly off the top of m head 98 in all but some are chicken etc and the bulk of the rest are cats..... all x feral rescues. Actually they are all rescued. Chief employers are all the sheep, a cat and a lovely old dog. I am never sure if Slipper boy is an employer or just penance from what I did in a last life........ x

Goodness me - bet they keep you busy!! I cannot understand how people can abuse or abandon animals - thank goodness for the people who take them in and give them a good home!

Sorry to hear that you are having such a battle, both with the pain and also getting any help. I must be lucky here because if you say it is urgent at my doctor's, they will usually see you on the same day. You have to go through a triage nurse, but I haven't been turned away.
I hope you get some answers tomorrow, and that your employers will be kind to you.

PS I've just read how many animals you care for :!: :!: No wonder you are so busy. I am a cat-fanatic, so I'm pleased to know that you are looking after so many feral ones. If only people would have their cats neutered, we wouldn't have this problem. If I ever win the lottery, I will open a cat refuge. In the meantime I support the charities which care for cats.
