Hi all,
I've not been on here for ages as im just soooo sore and tired all the time it takes all my energy to switch laptop on. I have really been struggling the past few months with the pain etc. I cant get out of bed b4 ten and cant get dressed till lunch. not great with 2 kids running around. Thank god for family. I also am very aneamic have been on iron tabs for couple of months with no change. I guess im just really down at the mo. waiting to hear about anti tnf. I take naproxen and co-codamol is there anything stronger the doc could prescribe or would i be wasting everyones time? I just can't sleep at night due to pain and stiffness, i just want a little bit of relief. Or maybe this is the way my life is going to be from now on,
Thanks for listening
Rosie

Hi Rosie
You poor think you really are going through the mill. The aneamia will make you very tired, I'm being treat for that too. Ask your Dr. if they think fortijuice will be any good to you. It has all the vits etc to help build you up so might be good for you. Most flavours are horrid but the orange isn't too bad. If you get it you might find another flavour.
I hope everything settles down quickly. Tramadol is stronger I think so maybe ask about this too.

Hi Rosie Sorry but i'm not going to be of much help but do have one thought, you say your aneamic have you been taking folic acid, Folic acid is helpful with the side effects of MTX and other arthritis drugs and is important that you take it. Lots of people who are diagnosed with aneamia are found to have not enough folic acid.

hi,im sorry to hear that your suffering.
there r stronger meds that you can be prescibed you really need to go to gp & demand something stronger & perhaps some amptripyline (sp)to help you sleep at night.
i take cocodomol 30/500 ibuprofen, zomorph(slow release)& oramorph liquid for the breakthrough pain.also 40 mg amptripyline at night.im still not painfree but a bit more comfortable than i was a few months back.
until i was dx i was left struggling on cocodomol 8/500 & ibupofen then gradually change meds til i was getting some releif.
others may have better advice with meds as im not an expert on arthr(not yet anyway)good luck& hopefully you'll get some desent releif soon.debsx0 -
Sorry I can't add any other practical advice, but I do hope things improve for you and you feel better very soon. We are thinking of you, take care, Josie0

Rosie, sorry that you are suffering so much. I take amitriptyline to help with pain at night, I find that does help me to get a better nights sleep. Do speak to your gp as the others have said, there are more options. Also you can get referred to a pain clinic. Hope things improve for you soon.
Take care

Hi Rosie,
I think once your sorted your life will be better and you wont stay as you are. As everyone has said you must go back and ask for something different or as add ons to what you are already taking.
I really hope you soon feel better. ((())) to you and take care, Cris x0 -
Sorry to hear you're having such a tough time - it seems you could do with a virtual (((hug))).
I'm too new to offer any advice but I really hope you feel better soon - I too have 2 children so I can appreciate how difficult it must be for you. x0 -
Thanks for your reassuring replies. i tried to get gp appointment today with no avail but will try again tomorrow. Also my dad metioned to a friend of his about the pain etc and how i was suffering, not realising she was retired physio she's offered to see me tomorrow night for free as she does acupunture and things so she thinks she may be able to help. Anythings worth a try right? even if i hate needles lol.
Thanks again everyone x0
