Went in at 1.10 appt was 11.20 one good consulatnt on duty whos clinic it is and every one wants to see him so had to grin and bare it and wait they get to many peeps in at once and it is the worse with arthurititis having to sit around for hours getting in pain and stiff and most had to be hauled up out of their comfy chairs at least they have nice chairs and head support and of course I went to sleep.

RF factor high other bloods reasonable hip is well settled in and neck scan shows bony spurs still going both ways nearly impinging on spinal column a bit more which is worrying ( im getting to the point where i would like an op whatever the pitfalls anything to have good neck use without this relentles pain and bad head) and spurs going into throat so will have an injection for that sometime everything will happen tomorrow I would willingly have a bed and get it done today like they do it on The General Hospital TV show. Will start Sulpha and see how that goes for the next 6 months in combination with MTX and go back on amitryptilne and stop gabapentine and will be seen again in November I asked for a miracle cure so fed up with it all. at least the sun is shining here also xxx

    Hi Chrisov :)

My goodness, you did have a long wait didn't you? :( No wonder you fell asleep. Hope you took your lunch in too :lol:

Good and not so good an outcome then? At least it sounds as if you were in the appointment some time. I hope the injection works for you.

    Look after yourself,

    Luv

    Hi elna
I knew I would be in for a wait when they brought the teapot and biscuits round appt they have to see newly diagnosed within so many weeks and us olides have to be fitted in as well it must be a nightmare to organise
I got about 16 minnutes in consultation which was oK as by that time after waiting so long I was not so fired up as to what I wanted to say perhaps that is their tactic I had a bad head and felt tired and just wanted to get home to bed and now after a nap I am thinking why did I not sayt That etc ?????oh well next time I am usually quite up for it as someonme said in the waiting room you have yo fight your corner but it is not a battle is is Elna ????

    Hi Chrisov

As you say it is not a battle or should not be so, but my goodness you sometimes feel that it is. To be listened to, heard, understood and feel that an interest is being taken towards your wellbeing, does feel like a battle at times.

I hope you feel more rested and your head feels better now.

    Chin up, as they say,

    Hi Chrisov

Sorry your day didn't go as well as it could or should have. Have you talked about an op on your neck or just the injections. Hope they help and give you a bit of relief.

    Love

    Hi Crisov
Did you really get tea and biccies?? Were they nice ones??!!
Seriously though you sound as though your rheumy has got ideas for you at least.
I am pleased, but I hope you get your op if you need it. The neck is one of the worst places to ache isn't it?
Gabapentin did't help me either :( Took LOADS of the stuff to no avail :!:
    Anyway take care
    Toni xx
