help new problem

Hi all wondered if any one could help.Had my facet joint injections today as was diagnosed with oesteo arthritis a few months ago.Was lucky cos was my actual consultant who did my injections amd he met with me and was asking how i was etc and when i explained to him abouyt the pains in my elbows wrists hands etc and also showed him the rash i have developed he said to see my gp and tell him i needed referred to rheumatology as i need blood tests done to check certain blood markers.Just wondered is it possible to have both oesteo and rheumatoid arthritis as my consultant said today i definately have oesteo so now am very confused.any help or advice appreciated

Sorry to say that the answer is yes. There are quite a few people here that have both and I'm sure they will be along soon. I have oa but my medical records say I have both?

hi to you both thanks for the quick answer.Im not really sure what to think cos have read about the symptoms of ra and dont seem to have most of them no swelling joints or red or hot joints def no weight loss (i wish lol)only due to my top limb pain and this raelly really itchy rash is what he seems to be basing it on.On the plus side at the minute my right hip feels like it belongs to me for the first time in about 2 years and not someone whos 90 lol every cloud eh or so they say0
