 As above really - and just wondering if anyone has this? When I get a flare up (now) J can usually tell as my face goes bright red.
Thanks

Poor you, nothing worse than a "minter"! You feel yourself going bright red and think everyone's staring. With me it's slurred speech sometimes with my drugs, I'm so anxious people are noticing and find myself apologising and they haven't even noticed.

Please can I ask you what meds you are on that gives you slurred speach. This happened to me yesterday for the first time. I also have had a migraine all weekend. Not sure if the migraine caused it or my meds.
    Thanks

    Tramadol gave me slurred speech.
But migraine has made me say the wrong things too - I hear myself say the wrong words.
I think you should get it checked out to be on the safe siode.
Poor Mousey I hope your face returns to normal soon :(

Hi there, it's the Tramadol and diazepam together slur my speech. I seem to be very conscious of it and make apologies for it and the person I'm talking to says they don't notice. I feel anxious as I talk a great deal over the phone at work and am discussing personal and important info so worry I am appearing unprofessional.

OMG I have this also. Mine also comes from fatigue. If I am very fatigued, I have no chance!!

I am a legal executive and I work in Personal Injury. Having just been promoted, I now talk to clients on a very regular basis, taking instructions/advising etc. I feel very tired all the time and the pain makes me feel miserable and I believe that this reflects in my speech. When I have a "flare" (Which appears to be permanent..), my face burns, I get hot and I cannot think straight. Trying to explain something to someone becomes a mammoth of a task.

I have trouble talking and when I do, I either slur my words badly or have a croaky voice because my throat is affected by arthur. I have no idea how I sound on the phone but I am conscious of this happening...It is one of the things that I am very embarrassed about and wonder if I have made the right choice in pushing for a promotion.

Me and Arthur have fallen out badly the last few weeks, his company is not welcome anymore but he doesn't listen...

Sorry to jump in on your post. I will go back to my dark corner..

No, not at all, I'm so glad I'm not alone. Like you I have an important job but work for HMRC. So it worries me too having to discuss confidential info fearing I'll make a mistake.
