Hi All

Hope you are are well and having lots of good days!

Had my latest appointment with Rheumy yesterday and to say Im feeling somewhat frustrated is probably an understatement!

Basically after being taken off MTX because it was making me so ill I was put back on it. Have spent the past 6 weeks being sick but had yesterdays appointment in my mind to focus on and hopefully sort something out. Rheumy has suggested that I change how I take my meds, basically taking 4 tablets on Thursday evening and the remainder on Friday morning, she wants me to do this for the next 2-3 weeks and see if it makes a difference. If it doesnt then they will arrange another appointment to see about teaching me to self inject.

Has anyone ever altered their meds this way and had benefit from it?

Now while I am pleased about the fact that she didnt just say tough you have to put up with being sick I am also very frustrated! I am still off work and being 'hounded' to give my employer a date as to when I will return. Which I simply cannot do at the moment.

Into the bargain its my birthday today and I opened my cards sitting on the bathroom floor because I was going to be sick. 25??????? reckon I feel more like 95 at the minute!!

Anyway enough of my moaning! Hope you are all well!!

    Hi Parky :)

Well, first of all sending you good wishes for your birthday. :) Not the nicest place to be sitting when opening birthday cards. Hope you feel a little better now.

I also hope that the change in the way your take the metho makes a difference. Hopefully someone will be able to guide you on that one. As to work, well they will have to wait, won't they? I appreciate that you definitely do not need that sort of extra aggro at the moment, with "them" champing at the bit asking for a return date. If you have a sicknote then that will have to suffice at the moment for them. They can phone your gp ............

I hope you pick up today.

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi Parky,

I can't think of any help except hang in there and hope it will stabilise or be sorted out soon.

I also wanted to say Happy Birthday, and I hope your day improves soon. Take care, Cris

    Oh Parky
    Happy Birthday!!
So sorry it is such a dreadful one :(
At least he has listened and there is a plan, but that doesn't help in the meantime.
    Take care

    Hi Parky,
    Happy Birthday.
I've been in hospital. When they dragged me into A&E they didn't know what was up, so I got no meds or anything else. they gave me a buttie at lunchtime with tea and then water. They also gave me back my meds and told me to self-medicate. I took them.
When I got home I carried on taking them in the middle of the day and I feel much, much better in the mornings. I don't feel so grotty and stiff as I used to do - which meant I wasted the morning slouching about. Now I can do what I am able, take my meds and then have a rest (which I usually do) and it seems to suit me better.
Btw - still don't know what the problem was. Ah, well.
    Hope you get sorted.
