well some of you may know over the last month or so i have had a raging ear infection.
ive been seeing the practice nurse, she said i had an inner ear infection so treated it with a spray.
1 wk later am back at surgery she checked ear & said infections still there,so antibiotics.
then im back the following wk cause ive still got pain, she checks them again still infected & says if theres no inprovement in 4 days with steriod drops im to go to see gp.
woke this morning screaming with ear ache so back to see gp.
he checks ears & the infections cleared,so i asked why i still have the pain.
he checks my jaw, says that its clicking & grinding & its arthr in the jaw  he said to mention it to the rhymy on mon.
so thats a very long list for him to look at.but at least i have an idea now to the ear pain & headaches.trouble is now i cant tell if i have ear infections or tooth ache as the pain is the same.
i thought it was related to my neck i.e a boney bit hitting a nerve causing the pain, never crossed my mind that it would be arthr in my jaw  im pretty gutted as its in most of my joints now.
its 13months since i was put on sick with this & have had to stop work(told i wouldnt work again)& good old arthr started in my neck, knee & r/hand.now its in L/hip,both knees, both shoulders, neck
lumber, hands, feet & jaw.every joint cracks & grinds & shocked that its all happened in such a short period of time.
ive had to up my oramorph till i see rhymy on mon,i was so shocked i even forgot to ask for my prescription.just wanted to get home.
so im not leaving rhymy appointment on mon without confirming that i can have a scan,as i want to know how badly my joints r affected.i already know its secondary o/a & other things.
surely they must have an idea as to why ive deteriated so quickly & if & when it may settle(burn out)if it does.
sorry that turned into a long rant, but not just upset, but worried too!thanx for listening debsx

Hi Debs, Sorry to hear its spreading fast the same with me had it for years and then 4 years ago spread like wild fire. I have it in my jaw and head and i know what your saying about not knowing its tooth ache or ear ache, some time it gets hard to chew. Its a lot to take in when it spreads so fast and if your anything like me the mind wonders and you think you must have other things wrong.
Take care and keep your chin up[ catch you later

thanx colin, its just hit me like a ton of bricks cause i know where arthr is,i know all the aches & pains with arthr.
its just the fact that an ear infection has now cleared & he checked out my jaw, told its arthr was the last thing i expected.
it was i gp that i hadnt seen before,so might make a point of seeing him in future if the rhymy agrees with him.
he's the only gp that has free afternoon appointments, can never get to see my regular gp,never seen my registered 1 either
but there again it might mean he's rubbish, but he was really nice & easy to talk to.cant get up early enough for morning appointments,if i do manage it i spend the rest of the day in bed cause me body got up before it was ready, then spend the day in agony.debsx0 -
