    Hi Ann

You rest up a little more! We are all different so I suppose there are no set guidelines that can be given out. I appreciate it is difficult not to overdo things when one feels able, (I do that ALL the time) but the body soon tells us, we need to take things a little easier and I think that is what is happening in your case now.

You have had a major operation - one tends to lose sight of that!

Icepacks, and legs elevated when sitting, but moving the ankles and feet so circulation is good.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Hi Anne,

I didn't use walking aids for long but that's because I tripped on them one night because my weak arms weren't lifting them enough and I nearly fell

As Elna says don't overdo things, even though you're feeling alot better - your soft tissue needs to repair after your surgery so that means rest - there's plenty of time to put your new knees to use. Do your exercises to give you as full range of movement as possible but please look after them too by resting.

    Luv Legs :D
