Hi everyone

HOORAY :!: :!: :lol: At last I received my Blue Badge today. You may remember that I discovered my form had never been sent in by my doctor, even though he told me that he would support my application. I think he forgot about it, and kept it for six weeks.

It has taken over two months, and a lot of ringing up and checking up on my part, but it will be worth it as it will make my life a lot easier. Now I'll have to be prepared for the comments some of you have told me to expect from all the ignorant people :!:

Well done Joan in at last getting your Blue Badge. It will make things easier , I know it does for me.
Although I am constantly asked by people as to how I managed to get one as I am not really "Disabled"
    Best Wishes

Brilliant news Joan, worth the wait I'm sure.

I always find when they say "that's a disabled space you know!"

and I say "yes and that's a blue badge on my car YOU KNOW"

Always shuts them up! I am quite enjoying it now! 8)

    Hi

Thank you for all your good wishes. It's great when something goes right for once, isn't it :?: You almost expect things to go wrong. We are going away next week, so the blue badge has come at a good time. It will make parking in places so much easier, with less distance for me to hobble :!:

Probably far too late but did you report it to Police at the time? If it
ended up in court the publicity would certainly make people more
    aware of illness and disability.
