Hi Everyone, hope you are all ok as is possible, I have been feeling bad recently but it has all come to a head, all my joints are aching and my back, I have pains in my right thigh and at times it feels as though my leg will collapse. I know it is all due to my father-in-law still being in hospital, it is not only visiting it is everything in between, cleaning the house etc, my biggest worry at the moment is that he is to have a general anaethestic next week, Malcolm, my hubbie, is worried sick, but we will be visiting him on monday so we are hoping to talk to the surgeons about things, sorry to moan but I hurt so much love Jaspercatxx

Hi Jaspercat
All the stress you've been under, no wonder you ache. Wish I could take it away. Don't rush to do all the housework, it will still be there the next day and it will only be you that notices any bits you've left.
Hope your father in law does well with his anaesthetic next week. How is your brother now? Hope he is much better.
Try and take a bit of time for yourself and knit

Hello, I am sorry feeling so down and unwell, but not suprised. I used to have my mother-in-law liveing with us and she often went into hospital and people used to say 'at least it gives you a rest'.
Thats not the way it goes is it? On top of the worry, theres visiting, and meetings with the team looking after her. As the family is spread out, they used to come and visit her and then have a meal with us. I found it hard work.
So, I can sympathise with you, all the worry your husband is under, the visiting and general stress of having an ill relative in hospital. Its bound to make you feel unwell. Try and find time for a rest in the day. The housework is the least important of things at the moment, it,ll be sorted later. Be kind to yourself and if you have a sympathetic GP, it may help you to talk to them. I used to cry on my GPs shoulder many times, and althogh she couldn't do anything, just talking too a sympathetic person, who wasn't personally involved in the situation helped me. She also gave me some good advice and tips for managing.
I send you and your family my very best of good wishes and hope thing sort out for you and your family. Love Suexxx0 -
Hi Jaspercat,
I hope you're feeling a little easier today - it is so hard when someone close is in hospital.
The others have said it all really, just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you too and wishing you all well.

Hi Jaspercat,
No use saying "don't worry" because you will!
But do try and not overdo the housework, getting physically tired will make you feel worse; and don't be afraid to ask family for help if possible.
Hope all goes well - thinking of you all.

Hi, I feel a little better today, with respect to housewife I do very little anyway, I have employed some cleaners to come in once a week, although they didn't come last week, thursday is the only day that we can talk to a doctor at the hospital. The nurses say my father-in-law is eating, and getting around ok, although he is still bleeding, he is being transfused today, they want him to drink alot more, we are visiting on monday.
Vonski, with respect to my brother, he is much better, he did very well post-op and went home on saturday, so that is one less thing to worry about
Thanks for all your best wishes love Jaspercatxx0 -
