Blood tests and Methotrexate

Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone knew when is the best day to have my blood test if I take my 15mg Methotrexate injection on a Monday about tea time?
I don't work on a Monday or Tuesday so I find that if I Itake it on a Monday late afternoon I usually feel really tired but I have still got the day after to recover. I usually have my bloods done on the Tuesday morning but last week had them done on the Monday morning before taking the Methotrexate.
I do try to have my bloods done on my days off because my hospital appointments with my consultant and rehuemy nurse are on a Thursday or Friday which means having to tell my employer I need time off for appointments.
thanks julie

Hi Juliet,
I don't think it really matters, whatever day's better for you. The most important thing is having your bloods monitored regularly.
.........unless others have been told diferently :?

Hi Julie, I don't think that it matters which day you have your blood tests, the most important thing is getting them done in the first place love Jaspercatxx0

See if the last results differ from normal and if they do then ask the nurse what to do in future. I don't think it makes much difference as others have commented, but let us know if it does.

Hi Julie
I take my Methotrexate on a Wednesday so my nurse told me to have blood tests done Mon/Tues or the Wednesday morning before I take my tablets, but it seems that different clinics seem to have different ideas so will be interested to see what yours says

Hi thanks for the replies, I only have my blood test once a month and I have it done at my GP's by the practice nurse. I usually get the results a month later when I go back. I will have to see if it does make any difference.
