Hi Everyone
Does any one drink on MTX ..... Not that I am at the moment...but have always enjoyed a glass of wine or two, particularly with dinner. Have only just started my MTX last week and gave up alcohol about 6 weeks ago in preparation, am quite happy not too at the moment but cant see me abstaining forever so wondered if all you lovely peeps could share your experiences with me.
Probably come to light today as just had dinner and my husband was having a nice cold glass of white wine...while all I had was 3 MTX!!!!!!
Love to you all....just taken 2nd dose...fingers crossed for another week free of side effects....

Hi Barbara,
Loved your message. I've been on MTX for around 3 - 4 years and do drink. Sometimes I admit I have quite a bit too. So far no lasting damage. Think it just takes a bit longer to recover. Let's face it, life wouldn't be much fun if we stuck to all the rules would it? :P
Best of luck on MTX, I have found it works really well for me with very little side effect.
All the best.

Hi Everyone!!
I have just joined the forum and saw this post! Im 24 and have had RA since I was 18, been on MTX for 2 years now! (Just been offered anti-TNF!!)
I was the same as you and often worry about how much I drink whilst taking MTX so I cut out drinking in the week and save it so I can have a little tipple at the weekend, I just take it easy and try not to go too far (which is often very difficult), but all in all so far no worrying side effects!!
I agree with everyone else and say go on give yourself a glass or two of wine
