Hi everybody
I had my ESA Tribunal today and I won!!!
I can't believe it, after all the grief the system had added to an already stressful time, having your carefully filled in form ignored, a medical which when written up had major errors, I'm in a state of shock.
I had visited my MP to complain about the hoops you have jump through to put in a claim and he wants to hear my outcome as he is going to look into why so many new claimants are being declined and being told that they are fit for work when they clearly aren't.
Good luck to everyone else fighting with the system, we have to make them change it by refusing to go quietly but kick up a fuss and take it all the way.
I suppose it is too much to hope it is back-dated, but an extra £25 a week will make a big difference. :D Fay

Hello I'm so pleased for you, but the worry and distress they have caused you is horrible. I'm in the process of filling in my esa form, well, all I seem to be doing is reading it, feeling fed up and getting upset, so I put it away again! Its good to know that people actually do end up getting it in the end, you begin to feel its all one big con and why bother to fill the wretched thing in! :( I will make a start but what a lot of time we all waste going over so many things again and again. What will you do with all that money?
Sorry to moan on, its all I'm doing these days, I get sick of myself! Love Sue

    Hi Fay

I am sooooooooo pleased for you. Good to hear that your MP is sympathetic and keen to help genuine claimants. I do hope that payment is back-dated for you - should be.

    Luv

    Hi Everybody
Thanks for your lovely messages, I still keep looking at paper with win written on it. first thing I did when I got up in case I'd dreamed it.
Everyone who I showed the ESA medical form to couldn't see how it was relevant to arthur as he changes from day to day.
Also if you have problems with your hands get someone else to fill form in for you as if you struggle to do it as I foolishly did it, means you have no problem even if you put that filling in form had caused you pain and had taken a long time to do it.
Have a good day and thanks for being there this website is a life-line Fay :D

Wow! Well done, Fay - that is brilliant! You are definitely an inspiration to a few of us at the moment. I'm just at the medical form stage at the mo - will let you know how that goes. It is not just about extra cash more about validation of capability & it also means you get more help finding suitable work too.

Congratulations - it must have been very stressfull to have had to go through all that when all you were doing was claiming something you were entitled to - what a relief it's over now.
I'm still at the medical form filling in part too - and i've got as far as looking at it, putting it in a drawer, looking at it, putting it in a cupboard, looking at it, putting it on a unit......you get the idea - I will have to fill it in next week though to make sure I get the Dec 10th deadline that they have given on it........and then onto a medical I suppose - ah well, more hoops to jump through (if only - not with my legs/ankles/hips!)
You are a definate inspiration to all of us who are still wading through the system.
    Hugs all round

    Hi everybody
Thanks again for your support I'm glad I could bring some good news to the site for once.
To everybody struggling with THE FORM I spent nearly 3 weeks on it trying to work out what they were asking as questions are not clear, so going for help is a good idea but the form should be user friendly.
I am a ex RN used to filling forms in but this one is beyond a joke.
I was asked at Tribunal if I had applied for DLA, I said no. To be honest the thought of another battle has no appeal.
Good luck and thanks for being there.
Hoping to get new computer with voice software, no more one finger typing on a good day, if they backdate payment computer shops here I come. Fay
