Hi
I have been popping on here , keeping up to date with what is happening. I hope you are all ok xxx
I have had my final hydro session. My back is stronger, and less painful, most of the time. The physio has given me lots of exercises to continue, to keep building my muscle tone around my hips, both the replaced one and my other dysplastic one, in preparation for PAO. I have to contact my original physio for a review, but that will have to wait until I have recovered from my op on Friday.
However, I have finished work to prepare for my op on Friday (hysterectomy). I am very nervous of another big op, and hope they look after my hips whilst I`m in theatre! The consultant has made a note on my notes about using a certain position in thaetre which should protect my hips, so I hope that works. Last time I had gynae surgery, pre THR, my hips really suffered!!
I will probably be around a bit more for a while until I am back at work, so I hope you don`t get fed up of me!

NB

    Hi
Good luck with your operation. Let us know how you are coping. I understand your nervousness but try not to worry.

I wish you a speedy recovery. You'll need to rest for a few weeks after your operation so take good care.

    Hi
Thanks everyone for your good wishes.xxx
I think of you all with a lot of affection as you really kept me going last year when I had a lot to deal with .
I`ve had a pamper day today to try to relax ready for my op on Friday. Tomorrow will be hectic, sorting stuff, cleaning, etc...
Just hope the snow doesn`t affect my op!!
    Take care all xx

    Dear NB

Have just logged on after returning from a knee op and wanted to wish you all the very best for tomorrow. I am sure all will go well and your surgeon will be aware of your problem hips during the hysterectomy op. Remind them in theatre before you are in "dreamland" just as a final reminder.

Don't hesitate to use your " buzzer" after the op, if you are in pain. I expect you will have a morphine thingy to press as and when for a day or so.

We will never get "fed up" of you NB, so you call in and chat away as much as you wish.

    Love
    Elna x

I bet you are ready to get it done and dusted now, my lovely. I know that when I eventually made up my mind to have the same, it was the best thing that I could possibly have done and my only regret was that, I had not said "yes" sooner.

Thanks for your good wishes, all seems to have gone well, for me, so far so good. :)

Look forward to hearing from you as soon as you feel able.

    Love
