Sorry guys but this is just a bit of a rant... hope you don't mind!
Have been off my meds (MTX and Humira) for 18 months as I have had a baby. Had appt at rheumy clinic last Monday as I'm having a huge flare up and desperately want the meds back. I thought that it would be a simple case of seeing my rheumy, showing my inflammed joints, few blood tests and then walking out with a prescription...... but no!
:x
The specialist nurse has to speak to people who then have to speak to more people and all this time I'm experiencing more and more pain! :x
Finally had a call from Healthcare at Home who say that they are just waiting for the hospital to put a prescription in to them and they can then arrange delivery. They were really nice on the phone but did say that I could be waiting another few weeks..... ouch! :roll:
I am sure that this is the procedure they have to follow and most of the staff I have seen in relation to this have been lovely but I am so frustrated especially as I am trying to care for my 3 month old son! (Not easy when you are rapidly losing the use of one hand and your back feels like it is on fire!
)
Anyway rant over..... just felt I needed to vent as my poor hubby is always on the receiving end and I wanted to give him a break!!!
Thanks for listening guys!

Hi Poppy
sorry your feeling rough at mo, i hope the meds get delived quickly a few weeks seems ages when everything is hurting.
Hows your little man doing?0 -
Vent away me dear, Jesus it's really ticks me off when they do this kind of thing, it's a common thread on this site that there's a lot of variation to the kind of treatment we all can expect, it's obvious the NHS is in the dark ages when it comes to pain relief/control. :roll:0

Hi Poppy,
Like the others I thought it would be easier to get them back. I really hope you can get them to do it soon for you but congrats on your boy. I hope it will be soon sorted. Take care Cris0 -
Cheers guys!!!
I now have a prescription for mtx.... yey!!!! Just waiting on the Humira now but at least I can start getting the mtx back in my system!!!
My little man is behaving himself... I think he can sense that his mummy is in a bit of pain so he is being good!!
