Hi all
I would like to ask those with Cervical spondylosis if they ever have like a cold feeling in their head, either all over or just one side. Like shivers or something crawling, this is the only way i can explain it. Also do you get tinnitus at all, i have some weird noises, like crackling, or high pitched noises w.hich can drive me mad
Any help appreciated.

Hi, I think you need to see your GP, as it sounds like a nerve problem. Nerves can give funny sensations away from the place that they are compressed.
I hope things get better for you.

Hi Monica
I can sympathise with your symptoms, I get similar ones, with creeping skin, I usually say it is crawling. It is worth mentioning it to your Dr. I have radiculopathy which is most unpleasant. The Dr also said that spondylosis can affect your spatial awareness, which it does, hence I send things flying, not being able to judge quite how near or far they are away. All to do with the nerves and compression. As for the creaking, cracking and all the other joys of OA.......
Tinnitus can sometimes be caused by medication, especially aspirin, if you have been on it for a long time.
Have a good chat with the Dr, hope all goes well.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Hi Bubbles
Thank you for your help, when i have asked what it might be the answer from the doctors as always been the same, it is coming from the neck, which they are probably right. I know i have some awful pains and so forth, i think next time i see my gp i will ask again. But thankyou for answering

No trouble Monica
It is a bit disconcerting when the Dr says "it's all from your neck and the nerve compression". The range of symptoms are many and varied, some very painful.
An MRI would tell them more which cervical disc was causing the problem, but usually an x ray will say cervical spondylosis with or without osteophytes.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Hi Bubbles
I have had an appointment come through for 25th march for an MRI, so hopefully will get some answers then. I jsu hate the thought of the tunnel, but still, it will be worth it to find out where the trouble is coming from affecting my arm and hand, making it weak. Thanks again will let you know how things turn out, take care

Good luck with the MRI, think lovely thoughts, don't do what I did and open your eyes. I won't go into detail, but they had to scrape me out of the machine, it was not for me. You will be fine though, I am just a nervous wreck and hate confined spaces.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
