I've been to the hospital today and my rheumy docter has decided that the Rituximab is no longer working for me, I've tried the Anti-TNF ones too and they don't work. Theres a new drug called Tocilizumab and there are already a few people taking it, Is there anybody on here taking it as I am a little worried about the side affects.

    Sorry I should also say they have to apply for funding for me before I can have it.

    Hi Julie

    I have heard very good things about this drug.. Professor Paul Emery and his team at the Arthritis Research unit at Leeds University have been involved in the research on it..

    There is information on the internet if you try googling it - if you combine 'tocilizumab' with 'Emery' when you do a search, I think you will find some articles..

    I would be very keen indeed to give it a try myself if I was offered it!
