Hi Margareth
I am bemused, it is not the physio that give you a diagnosis. You must call her and tell her what you have, us, and ask her what she suggests.
Of course you can go private. Money talks. All you need is to be referred by a gp as he/she writes a referral letter to whoever you wish to see. You telephone their secretary and arrange an appointment. One should not have to take this road, but often it is the only way, as others have found out on this forum.
I do hope you get some joy today from the physio department.

Hi Margaret
Sorry to hear about your back pain you don't sound well at all. Phone your GP and explain how you are feeling. Have they done x rays? Mention how you are feeling to your physio too.
Not sure but can you take tramadol and co codamol together? Do take care.
Fingers crossed that you get some relief soon.

Just had a hot bath that helped my back. Im really confused I was sent to hosp by locum doc at my practise, the hospital xrayed me and the doc i talked to at hospital showed me xray and said i had 2 worn discs in my spine and that it was arithritis. Been back and forward to my useless docs since sept last year with back pain!! None of them sent me for xray!!! It took a locum doc to see that there was something rong!! I then had a bit of a wait to see my own doc she said on sickline that its sciatica!!! And said the physio will no whats wrong!!! I went to phyiso she said slipped discs!!!!!!!!!!! Can i have all 3!? Should i phone the guiness book of records for the most diagnoses in a week?No wonder NHS gets such abad name!!!!!!!!! :xHELP!!!Margaret0

Hi maragaret, sorry that you were in so much pain after your physio visit. I would phone the physio dept and tell them about it, also ask the drs to confirm their diagnosis, it is usually the letter from the Dr that the physio uses as a baseline to start their treatment from.
You certainly can go private, I always see my Cardiologist privately, it is well worth the money to have time to talk, in a very smart hospital, where the patient always comes first. As has been said, if you are paying, money talks.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Hi Margareth, you can take co-codomol and tramadol together. My Doc told me this, she said tramadol does not have any paracetamol in it, so its quite safe. I take co-codomol 30/500 2 four times a day and tramadol 1 up to four times a day when the pain is bad. I usually restrict the tramadol to one first thing in the morning and one last thing at night. They do help me sleep for a few hours at night.
Speak to the physio and your GP you need a better pain management routine especially after seeing the physio.
Hope you get rid of the pain soon
Regards
