Hi Elizabeth,I am almost sure Matrex is Methotrexate, probably the word Maxtrex is a brand name/generic name for the drug but the helpline will confirm this for you when the office re opens so try not to worry. Also other members may be able to confirm it is the same as MTX.A lot of drugs have different names and it can all become very confusing. According to the UK Lupus site
http://www.uklupus.co.uk/drug13.html
Matrex is one of many brand names of the generic drug Methotrexate.
I know you might not be taking it for lupus but their info is for the same drug.
hope that helps.

Hi Elizabeth,
This must have been very worrying for you, but as Wonky and Breane rightly point out, (rather confusingly) the brand name for Methotrexate is Maxtrex.
I hope that clears things up for you,
Best Wishes
