Oh yes Mike, I really hope it goes well today for you. I did think about your car yesterday as I saw an advert for it in a magazine. Looks very nice, those doors are good aren't they?

Let us know how it goes

hI ALL JUST GOT BACK, it was brill, first when he called he asked if I half ever been on the road , I said know , just driven round the block at the assessment centre . he said ok ( bet he was worried) he showed me the push and pull and intergator switch, he said right turn the key hold brake down and put automatic drive into D , now release the hand brake and then off we go . well getting out of the cul-de -sac was hard I kept stalling , but once I was out onto the main road everthing was fine as we went along the push and pul gave me no pain in the arm but a lot of pain on holding the steering wheel ball , I had to stop a lot of times the man was very nice he did not rush me he noiticed that I was always going towards the kerb a lot .

And also turning the corners I tened to speed up , but it was other wise great feeling seeing the cars pass me by ( I had visions of me crashing into them all day yesterday) as I neared home I stopped he said if you keep braking then you will find the steering tough put the brake in neutral so I let go and he was right the pain eased in arm and he praised my me on turning the corner so well , as we got into my cul-de sac with no problems he stopped the car and said the push and pull are ok the steering whell ball seemed ok for the last 10 mins he was happy , he just wants me to test the steering wheel ball next tuesday .

when I got in I phoned the fellow at car showroom and asked him to order the car with the adaptions I just tried out it was brill brill
    so roll on next Tuesday

Thank you all for your kind thoughts :D:D:D:D:D

Hi Brbara , I odered colour of the car a ultra blue , just waiting to hear from the showroom fellow that he has done this , he said it takes 3 days for to order it and 3 weeks for the car to be ready,

The man next door to me has a car on the motability and he said his took 14 weeks for it to be ready , he got no adaptions as his wife is the driver.

I cant wait until the car is in my drive way , then I can take lessons , the driving school I am going with have not got push and pull but he said he will sit with me durning the lessons in my own car( I like the sound of that :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: )
thank you for reading my post and for the kind words :):):):)

Hi Tilly :D:D:D:D , when I was in the car yesterday and was using the push and pull it was great no pain in arm but the steering wheel ball was giving me problems my whole arm was killing me and to top it all I took a spasm in my hand while holding the steering wheel ball , this made me pull back it made the accelator fly round a corner , if there had of been a car there I would have crashed but thank god I did not .the last 10 mins I had no pain in my left arm the steering wheel was relaxed , I went round corners like a pro the assessment man was well chuffed ( bet he had to change :D:D:D:D ) I will be on cloud nie again when I collect car , I am not allowed to drive it from the showroom as I have not got a full license but my brother is down as my back up driver, he will collect it with me along as welland hazel and mike Jr if hes not at school

Toni xx[/quote] Yes mike JR is already planning for me to run him to school, he is looking foreward to washing the car with me, the fellow from the showroom phoned to say he has orded the car now just wait until it is on the system then he will phone me monday or Tuesday to let me know about things, I cant help wondering why it is taking so long . I have a book by motability that say when it is odered in the showroom they receive it stright away . he says I wont be able to contact him as he will be off until monday or tuesday

It all sounds weird , although hazel thinks I am worrying over nothing
