Hi, My GP just said that we all do it! Also, if you are in pain and tired it makes it worse. The problems come when you don't know you can't remember! I feel better about it now, knowing I share it with so many others. It can be unnerving sometimes!
Love Sue ( Well, I think its Sue)!

OK. How is this for weird?

I ring hubby every day from work at around the same time every day. How are you, how's everything going etc kind of things (he does work from home), and I always ask 'do we need anything'. you know, like bread, milk etc.

You can guarantee I will drive home having forgot that thing.

I will forget a word and spend ages trying to remember it by which time as someone else already said, the subject has changed. I know the names, but they just don't come out.

But the weird thing? I remember numbers and registrations like anything. I remember registration plates of cars that have annoyed me (bad drivers), years after it's happened, I remember credit card numbers or bank numbers and logon numbers just like that, but ask me what I need to pick up from the shop later and I'm a lost cause!!

    Fibro and OA I blame!!

Left-brained stuff is your strength, numbers and logic etc. Arty-farty- right-brained stuff, eg words, and you're not so hot. Assign a number to household basics: tbags = 2 (2 for tea) coffee = 0 (looks a bit like a coffee bean), loo rolls = 8 (two one on top of the other, end-on). If he says we need tbags and loo rolls, remember 28. Job done. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

DD, you are a genius. I give sayings to things I remember, like sayings for registration plates, or sequences to things, as I am good at logic etc, but remembering sugar, well!

I'll try your numbering system! I am great at designing, but rubbish at drawing, so it's so true!
