Hello there.
Finally at last we seem to be getting to the botton of my chronic hand pain. The arthroscopy has revealed oa in the hamate bone joint and a chronically unstable scapholunate ligament. I have been told a Brunelli procedure would stabilise the scaphoid and lunar bones. I was just wondering if any forum users have had this procedure done and what experiences they had with it.
I am keen to proceed with it asap as pain is worse than ever.
Thanks.

Sorry not much help to you.
Just wanted to say that I am really pleased that you are finally getting somewhere.
It has been a very long road for you so I hope this op will be the answer for you. Did they say how long you would be out of action for?
Good luck,

Thanks for the interest folks. I think the op will me being in a cast for three months. It will also result in some permanent loss of movement.
I will keep you posted when I have a date.

Good that you'll keep us updated righthandman
hope you don't have to wait too long.. were you given any idea of the waiting time for this op?
best of luck when the time comes.
loss of movement will be good trade off if you are then pain free... I know that's how I felt about it when I had the TWR.
