First full week of work since before Christmas and really suffering this week. So washed out that i don't want to get up in the morning and now getting the old pains back which had subsided during the school hols.
I am on new drugs for another condition and am wondering if they are causing the tiredness...
I am not sure whether it is the stress of the job that increases the aches and pains etc or rushing around more than i do when i am off. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am constantly tired. I think it's the PA, the continual pain and the meds. One's body can only take so much. Never mind, eh? Onwards and downwards! DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Hello, I've been really tired since Christmas. I think its been the worry of hospital visits and waiting for test results as well as the pain, which has increased especially in my neck.
Since getting the 'more or less all clear' from the hospital Gyneocologist, I've felt better, but still tired! These horrible dark dreary days don't help either. If you've started back to work, I expect you are doing a lot more and have a lot more stress, all these things add up and together with the pain and illness, make things feel worse. Sorry this sounds depressing reading it back, but I don't mean to depress you, only to say its not uncommon and you'r not alone with the way you feel. Rest as much as you can and soon spring will be here!! Love Sue xxx

    Hello lupin,
Ive just done my first proper week since before Xmas too and iam shattered. Struggling to keep up with not only work but house etc too. I went shopping last night at 8 and what should have taked me half hour tops took an hour and a half! Pain always seems to eat away more with me when iam tired too. I should have text my partner but was just too physically tired to get phone out of pocket before i set off for home.
Try to rest although i know thats so easily said.
Hope next week is better for you
    all the best

Hi Lupes, really hope you can have a restful day tomorrow, sounds like you need it, I get so tired sometimes, never sure if it's the disease or the meds, combination of both, plus I haven't been eating right for over two months now so not only do I not have the energy reserves but the meds are more or less being taken on an empty stomach..
One good thing, I have lost about a stone and a half

Be well, make some time for yourself

7 hours !!!!! spent trailing around a shopping center yesterday with hubby and two wingey children have taken their toll and today i have felt so fatigued i could weep. Dark, wet and damp mornings certainly dont help. Hubby is now also arranging a weekend away going straight after i have done an early shift at work - I feel sometimes I talk to the wall about how awful i feel. wish i could wave a wand for us all and banish this away xxx

    Hi Lupin

as many of us I too have same problem, work really does wipe me out as i am up and down the stairs all day. poor diet and lack of sleep are not helping so cant only blame RA

Study work and cleaning do not mix with RA and it's usually the cleaning that suffers but u just have to do what u can.

try not to push yourself too much and hope u can get some rest soon.

    Hi Lupin,
You really must try and have a rest tomorrow. Err that means no knitting either. Seriously it is so hard when we go back to work and then try and keep up with everything.
I work part time now and I have to have a sleep after tea every night. I wouldn’t mind but I like many of us find it difficult to sleep at night so it becomes a vicious circle doesn’t it.
There are such a lot of bugs about at the moment that it makes it difficult to avoid catching things. A nurse told me to wear gloves when out and to use wipes whenever possible to keep some of the germs at bay.
I hope you feel better soon,
