Weight gain on Enbrel

Hi there can anyone tell me if it is true that if you are on Enbrel injections that you will gain weight?..I have recently been told this and due to start Enbrel any day now..Can't see the point in starting a drug that is gonna make you gain extra weight for your joints to cope with.

    I didn't gain any weight whilst on enbrel. We are all different in how we react to these drugs - although person A might gain weight, person B could equally well lose it whilst C remains the same. In the past I have lost weight and had no difference in joint pain. As far as I am concerned that is another myth peddled by the docs.

    I wish you well with the enbrel - there are a few on here for whom it has worked well, and I hope you are included in that number. DD
