Hi, ive just been approved for long term disability insurance claim at work due to my autoimmine arthritis.
It means the insurance company will pay be a percentage of my salary until I retire . They have made this decission based on reports from my consultants and GP etc, and medical report from insurance doctor.
However, my company still say they need a sick note.
Is this correct? Will I have to keep going to my GP every month to get a sick note?
Thanks

Hi Metho girl,
I believe that your company will need this as part of your payment will be SSP , which in effect the company can claim back .
Why not ask your GP to give you a med cert for 3 months rather than one
Again you would need to look at the details of the insurance ..:)
