I have a really bad habit that drives my husband mad, when ever I get nervous or stressed I bite the skin round my nails. I do it till they actually start bleeding!
I have tried to stop it but some times I can be thinking and the next thing I realise their is the taste of blood in my mouth! I have been doing it since I was a little girl and just can't stop. Well that is my bad habit what is yours?

I used to bite my nails but since fainting in the kitchen and biting the worktop on the way down (altering the shape of my teeth top and bottom) I can no longer bite anything. Anyway, bad habits - well I think the worst is daydreaming, I can lose a fair bit of time just thinking about nothing in particular, and often do. DD

Unnatural tidiness. You may not agree that it's a bad thing, but it is if you actually physically can't relax until everything is clean and in it's rightful place!

You are a man Tony so there is no way you are perfect. I cant imagine there being any man who is perfect.

I used to bite my toe nails but this damn arthur has put paid to that now.

I do have occasionally a bad case of bottom burps.

Now now there is no need to be like that. Everyone knows a bloke will start dribbling at the sight of a large cleavage and a flash of a stocking covered thigh

The question is extremely worrying as it seems to assume we are only allotted one bad habit each. Plus everyone has meekly accepted that.

I could list a dozen of mine without drawing breath and my husband would then willingly chip in with another 50 or so. Maybe I’m a closet kleptomaniac specialising in nicking others’ bad habits.

NinaKKang – when can you come round here? I think I can give you plenty of scope to practice your bad habit if I can just locate the door key to let you in and then make it to the door without tripping over anything.

As the old graffiti artist once said : I used to be arrogant but now I’m absolutely perfect.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Stickywicket, I'll give you my list of fees :D Or you can borrow my eldest daughter who loves tidying people's mess. She's a very popular girl as people invite her round to tidy!

When I was a little girl at junior school my (twin) sister was made head girl --- I was made a prefect.
I returned home to give my parents the news ( they already knew about sis being head girl) "well" my dad said what are you "perfect" I replied my dad fell off the settee laughing........but it was true!

Bubba I have the same habit and have also been doing it for years and years. I love having my nails painted and decorated nice as well so you'd think I'd stop with the biting but no, it makes no difference.

The other bad habit I have is picking spots/scabs, again I've done this for many years. I know I'm making a mess of whatever part of my body they're on but it feels sooo good! Very similar reason I'd imagine to why I bite the side of my fingers.

Oooooh scab picking, I agree, that is a lovely one to have.

Procrastination. I think that's my worst one. Why do something today when tomorrow will do equally well, or even the day after? I know I should give myself plenty of time to do things, especially now with the arthritic depredations that affect me, but I still end up trying to do far too much at the very last moment. Utterly hopeless. DD
