I'm really impressed with getting two done at the same time, it's got to be better for you in the long run.
Please keep us posted on everything.
    Take care and good luck

    Hi Jean

If you look on google you will see thst jeni Murray, the broadcaster, had both her hips done at the same time... Her problems were due to the effects of chemotherapy for her breast cancer... The chemo caused avasular necrosis so there was a problem with the blood supply going to her hips!!

I also know two other people whom had both hips done and they are absolutely fine.. Theirs was due to hip dysplasia..

    Weejean,

Having had two hip ops myself, I would say DEFINITELY a nightie. Pack several. Darker colours are best. I would recommend knee length or just below the knee.

    Speedy

PS also take some extra big sized, "Bridget Jones" type pants - with big leg holes for after the op.
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
