sulfasalazine causing red gums

anyone got any advice ive been on sulfasalazine for 5 days nw and my bottom gum is a deep red colour should i be worried ?

Hi Rebekah,
Sulphasalazine has a range of colourful side effects - mostly harmless if a little disconcerting. If your gum is swollen or giving you any discomfort, I would flag it up with your rheumy/nurse.
