Hi everyone hope your all on top of your pain

Been to Dr's and when I got there was informed my Dr was not there but I could see a locum  Thought I might aswell see her as I was already there. I explained to her about my diagnosis last year and how I had been health wise.

I explained that for the past 3-4 weeks I had been suffering with pain in my right shoulder blade. Anyway she whipped my top up had a quick listen to my chest and informed me my lungs were clear and if the pain continued after 2 more weeks I should go back  I tried to tell her my chest was ok but she just would not listen to me. I also asked if she could chase up my followup appt with the Rheumy as I cannot get through, She looked at my notes and said leave it you should only just have been seen this week and they are probably busy!!

Should I try and make another appt to see my normal Dr or leave it 2 weeks as told. The pain is really bad and I am self dosing with 30/500 Co Co's which help a little but I suffer with all the side effects of them.

Love n hugs

    Hi Sheila
You make another appointment, why on earth these GP are like this is beyond me, some of them just dont listen, so you make a list of what you want to say or ask, and go back.
I have a GP that is hard work, but between us I get there, but it always means extra visits, the last one he was telling me how bad his back was... it has taken time, because I wouldnt say boo to a goose, but the pain has driven me.
We are all behind you , and please let us know how it goes x
    Love
    Barbara

I saw a locum recently. He said I was too young to have what I have. He then went through all the tests I have had, blow by blow. It was a whistle stop tour of misery. I made another appointment. It was just as well because he ordered the wrong blood tests, I had them done. So I needed a new set and some extras. Just try and see your own doctor.

Do try to see your own gp and definitely make another appointment. these locums are often useless unfortunately. My MIL of 93 went to the surgery and her own gp was away. The locum fobbed her off with take some paracetamol which she had been doing for a week which did nothing for the pain in her foot. I said to her that is it probably Policemans Heel. On seeing her own gp three days later that was what was diagnosed.

    Locums!

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
