THE brave US general nicknamed Stormin’ Norman who shot to worldwide prominence during the First Gulf War has died aged 78.
General H Norman Schwarzkopf, commander of the international Operation Desert Storm that drove Iraq troops out of Kuwait in 1991, died of pneumonia in Tampa, Florida,

    I hope he died peacefully Colin.

    So sad - I am thinking of his family left behind :( .

    Yes its so sad for familys coming to terms is so hard and he was such a well loved man. He came to Liverpool in the 90s to an army camp i was at
    what a nice man and so respected.
