Facet joint arthritis

Off to see my spinal consultant tonight at 7pm - need to make a decision over the next step - a rhyzolysis procedure. Had fairly good pain relief from the 6 steroid injections, which should make me a good candidate for the procedure but still feeling a bit apprehensive. Anyone else had it done or knows someone who has?

    Hi Sheena

    All the best with your appointment this evening. Have not had what is on offer to you you but have had a dorsal root ganglion block x 2 at L4 and L5 on 3 December 2009 for sciatica and am still pain free of sciatica. :)

    If it was me I would go for it - nothing to lose and perhaps much to gain ;)

    Sorry I cant help, I had surgery mention to me but I didn't take it all in, so I am still trying the injection ...please let us know what you decide I will be very interested to see how you get on, x
