Hi
Had my op yesterday at 13.30 under spinal and block
My surgeon said all went well and he did have to operate on all 3 toes he was hoping to only do 2nd & 3rd toe but also needed to do 4th toe
Looking at my toes over the bandages they look perfect he needs to do my other foot so they will look perfect too
Had no pain until 6am so I was really impressed but its kicked in with a vengeance
I'm practicing what I used to preach to my patients and my foot is elevated and I'm wiggling my toes and taking regular painkillers
I was lucky to be looked after 3 of my friends who now work in Day surgery and another friend working in theatre kept checking I was ok so I felt really safe
Was also great to see many other staff I've have known for many many years
So had a great time even though I had to have an op
Hope you are all well
Maria

Hi Maria, I'm really pleased it went so well. I hope you have a speedy, trouble free recovery.
It's great you can be so calm, and matter of fact about it all. :D
    Take care, (((())))

    Hi Numpty
    Thank you
I think it's because I've worked in orthopaedics and feel safe
If it was anything else especially any women's problem I'd be a nervous wreck so not brave at all really
As the saying goes the better the devil you know
Had a little blip last night when saw some leakage through all the bandages had my self bleeding to death and found in a pool of blood by morning gave myself a good talking to and was ok then! And no more leakage this morning

Good to have you back, Maria. Ah the post-op distraction techniques  I remember them well. I did used to manage to postpone my next dullers for some time though so all power to your elbow - and other bits
