I am currently on holiday for 2 weeks and have been doing quite a bit of walking around but today I have experienced a lot on both big toes mainly on the top of them.Do you think I have done too much walking to cause this or is this related to my RA.I have also got some pain in my neck and have restricted movement, this is most likely due to my RA which I not too concerned about as I have had this before.Anyone else experienced this with their toes or do I just need to try to do less walking.

If you are doing lots of walking then make sure you are wearing good, supportive footwear, preferably a style which fastens over the foot to save your toes from clenching to keep your shoes on. Rest often too, just to take the weight off. Pain on top of the toe would suggest to me that your footwear is rubbing somewhere, my toes hurt all the time but inside in my joints. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

I've got a bunion on both feet, but my left one is worse. For me the answer is to get shoes that don't pull across th toe joint, or have any stichting there.
Even the most sensible of shoes can cause pain if they pull across my toe joint!

Have a great holiday! Love Suexxx

    Hello Shandy
I have noticed so many people on here having gout in there big toe..apparently it can be related to arthur...suppose it is the inflammatory type...hopefully it will ease up for you if you rest them...xx
