I had my 2nd appointment with the nurse last week, next one is due in 6 months. Having regular blood tests, the nurse said she would liaise with the consultant and write to me to tell me how and when to start reducing the steroids. I've just had my letter through with the next appointment, but it is with the Specialist Rheumatology Nurse - I'm not sure of the difference between the two, or why I would be seeing someone else - anyone got any ideas please??

Well, that answers that! The usual nurse has just rang to discuss the changes to the meds; I've asked her why I'm seeing someone else next time - simple, because this one's leaving to be a housewife!!0

The specialist rheumatology nurse has lots of experience of the condition and will offer you support and advice- I find appointments with mine really helpful, hope you do too!
