Appointment waiting time

Hi there, I have recently been referred to Southampton general for a bone scan, this was over 3 weeks ago and I haven't received a letter yet, does anyone know if its normal to wait this long for a letter?

    Thank you for your posting on the forum. I am sorry you have been waiting for your appointment and have had no word as yet. There is information on waiting times for appointments and how long you should expect to wait on the NHS Choices website on the link http://www.nhs.uk/choiceintheNHS/Rightsandpledges/Waitingtimes/Pages/Guide to waiting times.aspx You could speak to your referrer, (was this your GP) about the fact that you are still waiting for this appointment to come through to you. They may be able to chase this up for you or give you some indication about how much longer it will be before you receive your appointment.
