Former champion jockey Pat Eddery has died at the age of 63.

    I read his obituary in the Times this lunchtime, jockeys may be un-naturally skinny but at what cost to their overall health? I gather it was his heart that packed up and after years of saunas and starvation-level diets no wonder. He lived and died for the sake of horses. DD
